Shot the summer before last on the Big Island of Hawaii. This was the slow moving pahoehoe lava that you could hear crackling as it moved. I was afraid my lens would melt!
There are so many contours and textures, its part abstract , part subject. Really nice capture , crystal clear. The tones are intriguing, that burnt orange color over those greys and blacks really centers the focus of the photo. Good hustle.
