Great capture, Paul. I would have cropped a bit more on the upper and lower ends.

Dear Paul, this is an outstanding capture. Congratulation - I like this soft background, the color and the sharpness of the swans.
Congratulation - it is a great shot ;-)

I really like the Nikon 80-400 VR on both my Nikon F100 and D100. It gives me the range that I want and the Picture Quality is great. Also On my D100 it makes the range 140-600mm however the autofocus is very slooooooooooooow. thanks for the comments

This shows a great sense of design, as well as a fine nature shot in its own right. I like that you have opened up the space in front of the subjects.
(I have thought about the VR lens for my D100 ? how do you like it?)

Wow! What a great start! Excellent capture, Paul! I love the blueish tones and the faint hint of the background and the crisp focus on the swans. Very good lighting. The power and grace of the swans is stunning! Great shot!
Cheers,
Hugo
