Dan, a very original, and a very well composed photo; The shadow makes it super dynamic. The angle of the lighting is perfectly chosen, but I would have liked to see some more highlights in the real fork.
After reading the previous comments, I checked my screen set-up, and it seems fine, but I still think the fork is a wee bit dark; especially in the areas that touch the table; a slight highlight there would have increased the contrast between fork and shadow a bit.
Excellent work, and I admire your creativity! Very impressive portfolio, too!

Wow, very cool photo! I like the lighting and shadows. The contrast is great! It's a very interesting topic for a photo... who would have though a fork would make a perfect abstract photo! Great job! :)
