Two simple arcs intersecting in a graceful way with sumptuous color create a very memorable image. I will second Greg's suggestion of a reflecting surface to slightly open the shadows.

I love the lines and deep colors and shapes. May i suggest a white board as a soft ref;ector for the left side - it will softly add light. The little points of light on the dark petsl, I thinl would also be softened or blended in - this compaision is sumptuos

Carmen! I love Amarylis, and like the way you highlighted the gentle curve of the petals. To really bring out the texture and color, more light to the left side is needed. I can't wait to see more of your images. I'm a sucker for floral macros. Glad that you are posting!
