The lens for this shot was the lens that came with the camera,18mm-55mm. Set at 55mm taken from a distance of about 11 inches from the sensor.I think it's a little soft in focus when used close up I am going to try to use some close up dioplers next week to increase magnification and see what happens.I have old lenses and filters from my old camera and I purchased a 58mm to 49mm step down ring to adapt them to the Rebel.

Beautiful use of backlighting. An imaginative and very *different* view of the seasonal plant!

I liked that photo. Very clever use of the backlit to reinforce the texture capture. Very good.
