About Beautiful building, restrained classical Japanese architecture. Advertises its use of nearby spring water. Lovely natural setting. And outside (artfully concealed by the angle of my shot) are two drink vending machines! I can't understand how they could DO that. Argh!

Nice tonal gradation and the tree makes an interesting diagonal line.

Excellent shot! Very traditional scene (except for the aluminum window at the top center). I would have never guessed about the vending machines, but it doesn't surprise me. I'm constantly trying to avoid power lines, ugly buildings, etc. when I take photos and if it's impossible, then I just clone them out later.

This is a side of Japan I'd love to explore. Looks like a great atmosphere around this place.

What are those long structures on the roof that look like reverse gutters?

On my very brief visit to Tokyo I found those ubiquitous drink vending machines (esp. coffee!!) rather annoying, especially when they were on the sidewalk.

I would be glad to be in the mood to enter this beautiful teahouse. I am not, but I viewed it longer and viewing it is kind of meditation, thanks for sharing!
