Wonderful--where was it taken? I have a lot of pictures of American Indians (taken at a Pow Wow in Idaho this summer) and would love to share them--but I really want to know how you achieved the blurred background first! I love the colors and lighting! Welcome to Usefilm--I love this site! Cheers! Charisse Czaja

Love you use of PS here, it really makes the subject stand out, plus the background colors repeat on the subject. Great work!

Great start Charles! I like the use of blur to separate the subject from the background, but a little more feathering (no pun intended!!) may have helped to soften the dividing line at the top of the shot. Superb portrait nonetheless, I look forward to further uploads. Regards, Chris.

Welcome... you have uploaded a great first photo. The idea of manipulating the background is great this way, however one can see that is has been manipulated at the ends of the feathers. Maybe you can try to use a smaller tool to enhance this? It will take some time and some patience, but I think it will be worth it, because it is a great picture! Hope to see more from you soon. Regards, Louise
