Very nice expressive portrait. The Mamiya is serving you well. Nice selective focus and soft background, but the main thing is the look on the child which you caught. I must say, I find it difficult to think of as a boy, especially with lips like that. Great shot.

This is a fine example of the informal portrait. The gentle, diagonal s-curve of the cloth provides a lead in to the subject's face. The out of focus background aids in riveting our attention to those bright eyes.
