Russel, it is a manual zoom. I had the full 300 zoom out. The nest was out some distance. In the original picture, the eye of the crane does show. The eye is a yellow color. This was lost in the scan and submission to Usefilm. Thanks for your comment.
I'm not familar with the camera that you are using, is it a manual or auto focus? I have a hard time with my old manual focus camera (the only one I have) focusing in real sharp on images like this. I'm wondering if you are using an auto focus, if you were able to aim in on the cranes head, or if you lost some of the sharpness during scanning. But great grab any way! Later my friend,
