I cannot understand why this work received low grades. It deservs very highest marks. You achieved a very unique blend of the warm yellow soft light with the cold blurry background.

I love the model's expression here, because I can't decypher it. Is she posing, or thinking intently, or watching somebody, or caught in a moment of vague, hypnotic, daydream-like introspection? Is she sad, or angry, or indifferent, or even amused but hiding it? I can't tell - and that's intriguing, it makes the photo special.
I don't entirely understand the lighting, why have one side of her face so yellow, but although I find it strange, it's not distracting for me. However, the frame shouldn't be there IMO, or at least not growing out of her head like that.
