This image is absolutely fascinating in so many ways. Most impressive is the mandalic halo that enfolds Melanie and seems to suggest sacred illustrations of both the Bible and the Bhagavad-gita. To me, it is saying that we hold the keys to heaven in our own hands -- if we can only look into our own hearts.
Then, too, "Shine" recalls a whole constellation of pleasant memories of a few years ago when I took a week to explore the rail trails on the east coast. Just me, my skates, a CD player with a bunch of albums including "Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid," some magnificent early spring weather and 300-plus miles of rollerblading in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Massachuesetts. I vividly remember listening to "Shine," not long after sunrise, while skating peacefully among the horses and horsefarms of Northern, Virginia. -- Jim

Carol; "holding light"-- I think only angels can do it, and this is an angel. Beautiful photo. BTW, someone gave me a "1" rating on my recent ship picture last night, and I'd appreciate your comment and rating as to whether or not it deserves that. Personally, I think the striking lighting really makes this photo. I value the opinions of my UF Friends. Thanks. Craig
