this is beautiful..a bit blown out in the sky, is this the fault of your scan perhaps? The image speaks so strongly to the lovers of trains, of which i am one. It speaks of nostaliga and appreciation for the past. i can recall the last time a steam train pulled into our station in my home town. That station and its trains are integral to my memories of growing up. Thanks for this image, Uwe and hopefully your holidays were just as memorable as this image! best regards: kat-

auch das wieder ein ganz starkes bild von dir. es weckt emotionen. gibt den gedanken raum...
bei mir weckt das bild erinnerungen an meine schulzeit. ich bin damals jeden tag mit dem zug zur schule gefahren. da gab's diese dampflokomotiven noch...
[da steigen jetzt erinnerungen auf, auch an die musik, da wir damals gehoert haben, pink floyd, genesis, yes, can, amon düül, kraan... ]
das licht ist hier so wunderschoen.
ich hoffe, du hattest einen schoenen urlaub...

Hallo Uwe! Hoffe Du verbringst einen schönen Urlaub * :) Ein sehr schönes und stimmungsvolles Bild, das durch das Licht, die Farben und Kontraste nostalgisch und für mich fast sowas wie zeitlos wirkt. Die Komposition ist phantastisch und äußerst effektiv!!! Hat bei mir durch den Gesamteindruck sofort Kindheitserinnerungen ausgelöst... und: weil ich in der Eifel geboren und aufgewachsen bin, wenn auch nicht in der Nähe von Gerolstein... Ein sehr gelungenes Bild ~ gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut!!! :)

Vielen Dank für Deinen Kommentar zu meinem Foto von Bamberg. Habe es Mitte August sonntags morgens gegen 6 Uhr aufgenommen. Kurze Zeit später war ich da schon nicht mehr allein.
