I love this one TOO! It feels like viewing into some kind of other dimension... where people that don't exist "here" exists "there" , and for a short moment I can see them, and even get eye contact with the girl! I love the mystique here!

A very interesting idea of keeping part of the image intact, while "moving" the other.

A great idea, well executed. I tried something like this myself a while ago, but it didn't come out looking anywhere as good as this.

hello Terry :-)
I like long exposures very much, and I enjoy watching clever experimental images like this one here. It's usually very effective to have a still element in the picture, and in your image the beach makes a nice contrast with the moving water and the ghostly family members.
my best regards!

Love this one Terry! The long exposure adds such drama here.

Very interesting. I think this would make a good accompaniement to a story about a family that keeps going back to the same beach for years on their vacation until they are very old. This would be their memory of younger days. I love photos that tell a story and make you think. This one does that and evokes many different emotions, and transcends all nationalities. Great use of b/w, understated but powerful.

time passes so swiftly and there is little we can do to catch it - I wonder about a comp where there is lots of sky to give us space and room to think about the loss of time.

I also wonder about the darkness of the island interupting the skyline but I think I taller skyline would remedy that...
