Lovely, artistic photo! Excellent and beautiful! You might find me crazy, but for me the shadow look like a little boy with his thumb in his mouth and a rose in the other hand.

Great rusty composition. The shadow shape of this pland on the metal gives a diference!

Do I see a buding rose in the silhouette on this one. Nice capture a forsythia branch and a hog oiler I don't want to go anywhere on that one. Excellent image nice to see you back from vacation.

Subtle image.... The drawing of the joint joins the drawing of shadows... There is a life after the rust as well as after flowers have died....Maybe, not sure....:-)

A tone poem. Simple. Haiku of light. Nice compositional balance, great use of the shadow without the antecedent object visible. Reminds me of a book cover for some reason.

Harlan, Harlan....
This is one of my favorite movies and you know it. This is also my favorite subject and you know it. What can I say? Thank you, my friend for this great picture (that I do not deserve) and for the dreams that you make us all dream.... Marília
PS: Loved the explanation as well :))

A hog oiler! Just when a guy thinks he my have seen it all, some other guy comes along with an hog oiler! Very interesting, and well seen. Like the shilloette, lines, color and the texture. Is this where the ribs came from too? Great idea Harlan.

Here?s a shot of the hog oiler. These were popular about 50 or 60 years ago. The base would be filled with oil. The round upper portion would rotate and collect oil when the hog rubbed against it. The oil would serve to keep the hog?s skin from becoming dry and cracking. We bought it to use as yard sculpture.
