I've been playing with sunflowers recently and I just wanted to congratulate you on a stunning macro. Love the firey petals and the minimal focus... it all works so well here.

Thanks Rob. I've been attracted lately to the idea that a small area of focus can convey overall sharpeness. It's really a subjective brain thing as far as I can tell. Like how a photo of a person can seem sharp even if only the eyes are the only part of the face in critically sharp focus. Nothing else carries the same weight as the eyes. In this photo, what isn't in focus just isn't all that important - at least that's what I get from your comment. Thanks again.
