Hi Don. Thanks for the kind comment. Don't give up on Nikon just yet. Some models, perhaps your 5700, really don't offer an IR alternative because they are set to filter out the infrared that some consider as garbage light. I've heard of some folks disengaging such filters, but that would void any warranty and is beyond my technical skill anyway. I know that an earlier Nikon model, the 950, works exceptionally well with IR light. Some digital Canon models, and perhaps your Minolta have a "night view" option that afford a splendid view into the IR spectrum. I'm still dinking around with IR with my D1H. I do get a hot spot on occasion, too, with my wratten 87 gel filter, but I think this might be due to stopping down to the smallest aperture with a longer shutter speed. I plan to experiment. May all your IR attempts be successful. Peace.

Hi Andrew, Thanks for commenting on my pictures. This very nice and I like the sepia tones. I have been trying to use IR with my Nikon 5700 and have come to the conclusion that Nikon cameras do not work well with IR. The images are always soft. It must be the sensor. The Minolta cameras seem to be better for IR. I do get a hot spot in the center of most images. Have you ever had that happen.??. Thanks again. Don. Very interesting Portfolio.

Lovely setting, what a nice place to hide a bench...this one seems a little soft too and maybe a tad too dark.

You are doing a fine job. The composition on this is great. I love the alone feel with the empty bench but I do wish there was a bit more contrast. Very nice Andrew.
