About This may well be my last post here... I'm just not having that much fun here any more... there are too many heads... and not enough free spirits... the ratings system is a disaster... even ignoring it doesn't seem to work... a great big thanks and a huge bear hug to all the wonderful people who have made my experiences here so memorable... I may still drop in on you from time to time and comment on what you are up to, but to see what I'm doing you will have to follow my website link to the place where I am more comfortable... I wish you well... happy shooting!

Usefilm certainly has become very populated over the time I've been here, I can understand your reasons for moving on.

The image: kinda strikes me as what the world looks like to an android or biomechanical being as displayed in the movies. Kinda like Predator, but not exactly. It's a cool effect.

Anyways, thank you for all of your time, effort, and encouragement. In the time I've been here, you are one of the most influential and mentoring figures I've had on the site. I'll be sure to stop by your other site from time to time in the increasingly rare instances I'm online.

Take it easy!

You guys and gals are the greatest! Thanks for your words of encouragement and support...

John Barclay - don't be silly... you all make leaving so difficult... it is nothing any of you have done or haven't done... it's just time for a change...

I'm getting a huge amount of feedback from my new home at www.fotolog.net/yesterday and there is a much broader audience of people (not just great photographers) checking out my work which is becoming more free spirited all the time... I don't think that is what Usefilm is about... I think it's about tradition and standards and finding the very best photographic vision...

that's a good thing, but right now I'm more interested in photography as a communication devise... in personal vision... and of encouraging my experimental self without the quest or need for perfection...

Thanks Again. Really.

John, I sure hope that this is not your last post here. We need free spirits!! I applaud your artisistic photo work, and your guts for always experimenting with new and original ways to share your vision. Too much head always spoils the heart and soul - here's to finding a perfect balance...

I love the atmosphere of this image, with its glowing and diffused light on the ferns, yet grounded in the strength of the tree trunks. Lush, steamy, and beautifully composed, this really is a wonderful image. Outstanding work in seeing and rendering this beautiful vision... Hope you will keep sharing....

I like the feel of this - the texture and the black and white really works for me. I hope you don't stay away - I understand your frustrations, my pix are largely ignored. Just so many postings, and they get buried fast. I'll be sure to check your website!

John! Sorry to hear you are leaving. I sure hope I was not part of the problem... If I've offened in anyway it was never intended! In fact a recent post was a tribute. You inspired me to experiment with filters in PS! You will be missed. Stop back from time to time and I WILL look at the other site to see what you are doing!

John, I will be sad if you leave. Your work and your feedback have both been an inspiration. I am grateful for your encouragement, and I applaud your contribution here. Happy shooting to you, too, and I hope you will post and comment here as you feel led to. The community will be richer for it. All the happiness in the world to you and yours!

Thanks guys... you are all on my list for bearhugs... I will be dropping in from time to time and I am sure I will have occaision to comment on your photos... but I don't see me duplicate posting photos on this site and my other web address any more...

Maybe I am getting critiqued out... I generally know what is wrong with my photos... I prefer to celebrate and share what is right about them... that joy is what is missing for me here...

John,

its sad to see you leave, especially leaving my friends list. I added you because I valued you comments, and looked forward to receiving a good critical review. I hope I've done the same for you in most cases.

I do hope you call back to see us once in a while. That would be good, and of course I'll follow the link, just to keep an eye on your work.

Good luck my friend.

regards

Keith
