Anil,
From the shutter speed that I used, realizing that it was a hand held shot and noticing that the branch closer and farther than the bird is in focus, I think the bird is in soft focus because of its slight movement during the exposure. Very good observation to notice detail like that ... most only notice obvious bluring, but you're right ... perhaps next time I will have more light or time to adjust the aperture for faster exposure.
