About I was priveledged to be able to photograph our neighbour in Clifton, brilliant artist Lilian Delevoryas at work in her studio in Dec. 2015. She was an altogether impressive person and also extremely nice; her paintings are imbued with humanity and spirituality, combining visual drama with inner peace and contemplation. I am sorry not to have met her late husband, the writer Robin Amis, whose work is also fascinating.

I am sad to report that Lillian died 6 March 2018. It is an honour and inspiration to have known her.
