Columbines on the side of the house. It had rained and I could see that the insect population was hungry... had to capture them before all their beauty was gone... like too many things in life.
Your comment says a lot, and in that context this is a nice pic. I think I'd crop some from the right, but maybe that's part of the "character" of this Columbine.
