About B17G Flying Fortress restored to full flying condition being readied for takeoff during Labor Day exhibition at Republic Airport, Farmingdale, NY.
For a mere $300 donation to th ehistorical society that maintains the plane, you could take a ride in this baby.

Compositionally I see some lacks: the right wing is cut, the two left engines are covered from a modern car which doesn't match the vintage atmosphere of the airplane. The subject is then missed in some way.
Besides, i wouldn't call "baby" a plane that during WW2 was responsable of the death of thousands and thousands of innocnet civilians during the massive carpet bombings that european cities have experienced in those awful days.

Very nice find. I love these WWII planes. I really like that it has a lot of items in it as I feel that I am watching it being readied for take off in person. Nice job

The fuel truck does detract a bit from the overall view, but I wanted to show all of the activity readying this big bird for take-off. I also have some close-up details in this portfolio - it really is a beautiful plane - check the others out and feel free to comment.
