Buddy, thank you for your generous comments. I was pleased with the details of the flame I managed to capture, though I agree with Stuart that it could be cropped a little more than I did in presenting this image. The results of the fireworks that I was originally there to try and capture turned out to be a bust. This was the consolation prize.

VERY nice, Peter! The wide dark border works to accentuate the torch's great jagged silhouette, against that ephemeral flame. Good flow and balance. There's a menacing quality about it that goes to my instinctual gut. You can feel this photograph. Excellent work from an excellent timestopographer.

Very interesting shot. The flames are really spectacular.... good choice of speed on this one, you caught them so perfect. I think it could be cropped a bit .... but that's just my opinion so please don't be offended in anyway.
