The view from 31,000 feet, somewhere over Georgia on July 13: some clouds rise as cliffs to block the sun, others spread like a rich valley to welcome it, and others waft quietly above it all.
Great cumulonimbus clouds, brings their danger right to the viewer. Reminds me of the song "Five miles out", when a pilot came into trouble due to severe weather.
These are the "anvils" of the cumulonimbus clouds, their frozen tops ! Great multicell thinderstorm, great photo, deep emotional impact especially for a meteorologist as I am ! Ciao, Cris.-
