Thanks for your comments, everyone. One of these days I would like to return to this park with my 4x5 and really take my day shooting instead of grabbing snapshots. I would shoot in B&W too as David suggests, and also take a tripod and stop down far enough to get the end of the axle focus too.

I agree with Kim, I like the rust's color. Looks like the focus on the axel is a little soft, maybe that's intentional.

The rust colour adds so much though, that to make it black and white almost loses some of its charm. (IMO) The green grass is a little too bright in the bg, but probably not much you can do, since your exposure for the rusted wheel thing is spot on.
Nice composition!
