About This began when some drops from an overnight rain storm accumulated on the arm of a patio chair. It has evolved from there through several iterations into the "Garden of Venus." The original image was desaturated, colorized, and the diffusion filtered applied selectively to some of the drops the increase their glow. Finally, flower petals were composited into the drops using the overlay blending mode and a touch of the Flaming Pear Flood filter was applied to add a sense of perspective. Your thoughs are appreciated.

This is excellent and creative-- widh I had those kinds of photo editing skills! I really like the water at the bottom, and you're right it does give it depth and perspective. Imaginative and surreal. Great PS work. Cheers. Craig

I must have missed this one yesterday (or was asleep already)...
the flowers in the drops are so beautiful....and the reflection in the water....the whole image has a fairy feeling.
and then there is of course the blue.....

:-)

Anna, you're exactly right! The previous version had no perspective. I don't know about other viewers, but I assumed it was a downward view, as if looking into a flower bed. This time I wanted to see if I could create a vanishing-point perspective. Plus, I don't get to play with my Flood filter nearly enough. Here's the version you remember.

This is extraordinary, the detail and colouring is lovely, I did a similar thing for The Queens golden aniversary, made some raindrops and inserted a portrait of her inside, hmmmm must find it and post it, I digress, your work is always exceptional and this is one of the most creative, well done Jim - Richard.

Very impressive. What you have done with the water drops is amazing. Love the lighting and 3-D quality you captured in them. Excellent job putting it all together.
