The black lines were caused by shining a strobe through some foamcore with tape running across a 2'x 2' window that I had cut in it. If I'm not mistaken, the original shot was in Red, before I converted it to duotone in PS.
Hi Phillip, This is really nice - love the light on her hair and in her eyes. Like the slight angle that puts her "at repose". My only gripe is the strong ripple marks on the background, which I'm not sure about, though if I imagine that area of the shot plain grey, I don't think it would work. :) Chris
