I remember the Instamatics when they first came out, they were an amazing idea and got so many people involved in photography for the first time.

Sounds like you have been using excellent gear in those years. My first camera was a kodak instamatic 126 ... and my second a fuji st701 with 50 mm f/1.4 lens.

When I was very young I probably used my Mother's box brownie but I wasn't that struck on photography. I was 18/19 (1957/58) when I bought a new Halina 35mm camera which had not long arrived in the UK. The next camera I bought was a Leica 111a with a 50mm Elmar lens. I followed these with a British Reid and then a Canon both of which were modeled on the Leica, the 111g I think. I did eventually own a Leica 111g which I used along with two Rolleiflexs for some long time. Those were my first cameras in my first dozen years Harry. All the best my friend.

A lovely family/friends group for this shot Harry. I was thinking the photographer may have wished he had a wide angle lens to fit everyone in. I can remember my own frustrations with the limitations I experienced when I started in photography a few years before 1960. We are spoilt these days with all the equipment we have available to us. Once again, thank you for sharing my friend. Best wishes always, take care and be well.
