So sorry to hear it, Ray. I've lost three cats this year too; two of those which I was feeding on street (but one, Elvis, was extremely lovely and loving, he would never just leave by himself), and my dear Mela whom you maybe remember from my older photos here... She was almost 15...
Sleep in peace Poppy... [*] 22 is a beautiful age for cat but you never accept losing those whom you love...

Ah Clay it is always such a wrench to let them go but she was beginning to struggle and rather than use more medication it was kinder to say goodbye.

Pets are one of the greatest gifts from God. They bring such joy into our lives and that's why they become part of our family. So when we lose them, it is like losing one of the family. At least she was part of your life for 22 years. I have yet to meet someone whose had a cat or a dog live that long. I'm sure she had a great life with you.

Thank you my dear friend. Although she was with us for 22 years it is never long enough. We have had several pets, cats and dogs etc, but she was my favourite, such a character. I am going to miss her so much. I sometimes think I can see her from the corner of my eye and now and again there is a sound like her calling out :) All the very best Harry.
