An add on: -around 1980's I worked in holiday time at a one man company we named 'loonwerker'. This company had tractors ( IH 523 and Fendt ) and hay baling machines ( New Holland ). Upon request from a farmer we would come for a fee and make hay bales. We served an area of say 5 by 5 km square near the village of Lettelbert, Midwolde, Leek, Leekstermeer. So if Aziz did not come from our farm, it may be a farm 'we' made hay bales Aziza was eating from.
And the region is most beautiful, green meadows, a lake, geese, birds, deer, wildlife and abundant flora ( lilies in the water ).

Thanks for showing your dad and Aziza. Let me present my parental home, the farm wit Frisian cows, my parents, dad at the most right, mum in a blue dress.( 1980) May God bless them all for they are in 'heaven' with their beloved ones.
Saad, thank for telling your memories abt the good old days. Ma Salaama,
Thank you dear Saad for this very fine gift; you never cease to surprise me. I’m very delighted and really don’t know what to say, also I would like to thanks our friends, Harry, Riny, Vehbi, Nanda, Turi, and Song Bird. Special thanks to Harry, deep love and regards to you, my friend, for recognizing my dad (May God bless his soul). He was very grateful to Holland and the Dutch people; he relied greatly upon them for his dairy factory supplies, and more importantly the cows. When he started his business, he invested in local cattle, but when he learned about the Friesian from Holland, he switched and within 5 to 6 years he had about 150 cattle- I would say 90-98% Friesian. Dear Saad, attached is the first one you are talking about. Her name: Aziza standing beside my dad (1965), she was the first arrival, and the turning point in the business. Aziza would give at least 5 gallons of milk in two terms per day. Indeed it was as you said, the good old days. Thank so very much, Ali
Just to get a feeling of what night be/ have been:
Thanks to Ali's father M.Yahya Al Katib in Mosul, the local merchant in my area mr Haas Kuizing, who drove a VW Jetta, received money from Iraq. [i just mutilated his name for privacy ]
He always carried a very very big wallet full of money bcse he was selling all cattle in the area. And so the money made its way to my parents, who bought me food, clothing and shoes to make me grow up and walk. And so, thanks to all persons, I am here, thanks to mr Al katib from Mosul ( city of clothmaking ).
It is a wonderful world, we are all one .................
Dear Riny,Ali's Family are the first one ever in Iraq to built an Ideal farm from those Freezen cows, that supply the whole city with the best ever dairy product,do you believe that in the fifties they distribute milk bottles to houses,in the very early morning, you just awake to find what you need at the front of your door,it was some very fine history of our city that have passed and never to return again. it was the good old days for Ali.
it is Frezen type, and it was imported by airplane directly from Holland by the Ali's father M.Yahya Al Katib to Mosul,I guess it was even the first in Iraq,I remember at secondary school time,Ali brought some of her images, that he shot himself, and show it to me saying isn't she is the most beautiful girl ever you have seen ,at that time ,I said He was a crazy who thought the cow is beautiful. now this cow is from the field of our common friend too.
Agree with Harry, she is from Holland..Dutch milking cows are the best in the world, , not only does a Dutch cow give a lot of milk, they do so for a very long time. A dutch milk cow can give over 100.000 liters of milk throughout her life. A cow can become a ”star” cow if she gives a lot of milk, over many years, while keeping her good looks and health.....;) best of regards, riny
She is from Holland, Saad. My father had exactly the same type of cow. I can remember such a cow on the stable, in the meadow. They can be quite nice but very stubborn as well. Just like humans.
Image is good, blacks preserved well, would suggest a lower crop just down to the tail or even just above the head so the building at the bg is gone.
Oh, and they love sweet cake and cookies ;-) Say hello to her. Harry
