Nice picture, no doubt about it. But your framing and treatment made it weird. Try to make it in a vertical format and rotate the canvas 90 degree in anti-clockwise direction. Make the border simple, so as to focus your subject itself rather than the border.

Colour drew my eye to this one. Really like the textures created by the noise (?) Could have been cleaner without the smaller branches surrounding the main branch. Still very effective.
