jeje, just move the slider of lights and shadows (at the top-right) for a global control of the effect or add a control point just on the places of interest for a more precise local control

Yes Konstantin, I agree. The original picture was taken in portrait mode, and I cropped out disturbing elements from the top.. but while I was at it, I strongly felt that this should have been shot in landscape mode.

many good point here, square format, atmosphere, tones and a terrific composition loving the balance between lights and shadows, crucial in BW photography
one nit, the left arm of the boy is clearly blown out and disturbs me a bit (had you shot this in RAW :)
