The vobrant colors of that bird surely let it stand out so strongly in front of the mauch more weakly colored water, Dave! I only see some kind of problems on its shoulder, right under its head... what can be the reason for that area of lower contrast and sharpness of details? I ask especially because th rest of its feathers are kept in such a high degree of accuracy and good details. The composition is again the best possible for such a portrait of wild life. Just an animal in its own world, and that under such a good exposure balance!
I said it so many times before and I say it again now. You guys should really think about a job as photographer of some institution in matters of nature. I don't think that other professionals do such a much better job than you do. Only my idea for application of your skills, that is.

Well done Dave! the detail and color are perfect... Even the clarity and sharpness in the reflected eye are perfect. Wish we saw more of these guys out this way. Very nice shot!
