The color is good on this one Harlan. I would like to see it with out the metal edge on top and the edge to the right. It would allow the eye to focus mainly on the shadow and red. This might not have been able to be photographed that way due to the surroundings. Just a thought.

Less is more and simplicity is powerful. This is a daring and creative image. Reminicent of Mondrian"s paintings but updated. You have a talent for using space. Excellent.

Nice photo. I like the way you captured the contrast between the mat and the dark shadow. On the other hand it seems like it's missing something. The "red" color looks too solitary, perhaps you shoul have added another object to balance the color out (something like a small dot).
