My meteor week trips were to Crater Lake then on to Fort Rock and Christmas Valley area. Sparse, but beautiful in it's own way. Christmas Valley is near "The Crack In The Ground" , a BLM managed area. Very cool place not far from Paisley if you haven't been there.

Hi Randy, did catch the meteor showers while lying on my trampoline the other night here in Montana. We had fairly clear skies and some good action. Where do you live at in Oregon? Our mosquitoes were small and mild compared to the big healthy ones in Paisley. They have a festival just for the mosquitoes. The wedding was planned around the mosquito festival due to the lack of accommodations in Paisley. I think they might have 12 hotel rooms in 2 different hotel rooms. Ha,ha. True story!! I am going to spend a couple of days at the hot springs in Boulder for my birthday in Sept. I am going to try and get some more shots around that area. Maybe some fishing too!! be well, Stan

In the future, what will people photograph when all of this neat historical stuff is gone? This is a fantastic image Stan, and that red roof rocks! ;)
If I didn't live on Oregon, I could be your neighbor. I love the images you show of Montana............ so just how large are them skeeters??? ;)

My friends do not need the list so you are in on merit alone. Skill and class count for something. Your comments and crits are always welcome. I am printing some proofs I sold for some portraits tonight. I am doing some 4x6 on Lumijet Pearl II paper that is nice heavy Satin finish. Fun to see what works for different images. Have been buying some sample packs and dialing in on the options. My best, Stan

Hi Stan, I know what you mean about having one of those times when the image was in your mind before shooting. It's great when that happens. Especially when the shot is a success. I have quite often seen something while driving by and then thought about it for a while and gone back with the camera. Sometimes it works out...sometimes not :) Thanks for adding me to your friend's list. Unfortunately, my list is full, but that won't stop me from visiting and commenting on your images from time to time. Andre

Gday Keith, I had to build a small landing in the middle of the flow. Tossed a card board box to jump on in a shallow spot. Worked pretty good with camera and all. I think it would be great to get together, I am in. This angle was worth the playtime around the water. I have waded waist deep for some shots. Have a good one!! Be well, Stan

It's inspiring Stan. I also admire your restraint in terms of saturation. I thought it was a work by a Flemish Master when I saw the thumbnail!

Thanks Ray, I did some creative water jumping to get this angle for the shot. The runoff had so many colors from the minerals of the water and I was hoping too capture that in this shot. The barn just made a great addition. The red roof is always good for a little drama. Glad you liked it too!! Be well, stan

A lovely well thought out landscape composition Stan. I particularly like the hot tone of the barn's roof and the reflection caught up in the water of the runoff. Excellent clarity and wonderful depth to the shot. All the very best my friend......Ray
