I love Columbines. (I even have a bike called a Columbine.) I've never been able to get a good looking shot of one. This is quite good! Great color, detail and depth of field.

Thanks for the comment on the thistle. You were talking about yours being overexposed. I underexpose most of my flower pictures about 3/4 of a stop and they seem to be about the right exposure. Thanks again for the great comments. They mean a lot. Don.

This composition is so great. I like the triangle idea! In this picture I can see the whole flower from little bud to a full blossoming. Great colors, good catch!
