Your macro captures are exceptional Diana; this one for example looks like a dance by the petals. Excellent work, best wishes. Hesham

Hi my dear friend:
A great moment of creativity and beauty.
To me, the most important quality in the photography is the liberty to express our sensibility and creation. You are fantastic, Diana, because you think with your heart and your feelings. This composition show me that.
A smile.

querida diana, you know that i am not a lover of ps-playing. but this time you caught me. but different from what you might expect, to me you created an abstract that is only based on a rose close-up. interesting indeed!

thank you so much for your kind comment on 'collected works'

The good idea here I feel was to use grain in a macro, because they can come together well with the concept of close up. Like said, the smear in the texture in the UL area is distracting, but tthe overall impression is great. I'm glad you have dared to experiment.

Thanks for all your comments, they have been very useful. i wasn't sure about the composition myself and yes, I was missing a point of attention. (thank you Gabriele). As I said, this was an experiment for me, I am not used to editing in grainy effect, but I want to give it a try. I discovered that either you like it or you really don't, there is nothing in between. In this one I have chaged the crop and left the grainy affect as it was, because I really liked it myself. Thanks again all of you!
Diana.

Dear Diana, the grain effect suits, but the cropping - I need to be more focus on something and here, everything is in focus for me. THe composition is too heavy for me. and if it is a Macro, I cannot see the real point. But keep on experimenting as I do myself. and be well.
Thank you so much for your support and friendship!!! ;-) I really appreciate it. Thank you dear Diana.
Kisses and Hugs, Biliana

Hi Diana! A very nice idea and concept for your new submission!! I'm surprised how well grain effect works on flower details, wouldn't have expected this; the colours are very nice, as well as the curves and the play of light and shadows. The upper left corner however is distracting to me, for the grain looks wiped off there; there is also a spot near the bottom (under the petal - right side of the first third), which has a kind of yellowish...? tinge with very small vertical lines, which also keeps pulling my eyes. The cropping is very nice, though anyhow I miss a little more space at the bottom; but surely this depends on the original. All in all a very pleasing and beautiful work, and I like the idea very much!! You inspired me to play around with that... Thank you for sharing this :) My best wishes to you ~ and have a nice day* Gabriele :) PS: A painting effect might also work quite well with this...

Diana; excellent composition, colors, and DOF. I don't really care for the darkish grain with the much lighter and softer pinks of the petals though, but I don't have a suggestion as an alternative for using grain with such a subject. I think the natural detail in the rose petals would be quite nice by itself though.

The abstract floral . . . one of my favorites! What I like here is the light and shadow, and also the pleasing curves of the petals. Very nice!
