About There are many streams in the region around Mt. Titlis. This one was quite inviting to follow upward to its springs, but there was a problem. They planted a dam further upward for electricity production and sometimes they open the dam for load balancing of the electricity generator. When they open the water masses can simply blow you away of you stand in the bed of the stream. But I phoned them in the electricity station and asked them if they could keep the doors of the dam closed as long as I walk in there and until I phone them again when I am np more in the stream. And they said without any complicating attitudes just: OK. Such guys one just has to like.

The walk in the stream was at least fascinating. The water and the white(est) rocks were almost too much for me to get them right. But some few images do offer "something". This is one of them, and I would be very happy to read some comments about it.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment and extra-hyper-ultra generous rating, Aziz!

Well, as Saad ponted out the other dark part near the top left is unfortunately much less amazing. But I am glad if the dark part on the bottom left drew your attention stronger than the other one.

Cheers!

Thank you veryy much, Vandi!

The light was good luck here. It was such a sunny day. Still the shadow under the rock at the left is too strong and lacks details, as Saad pointed out.

Cheers!

Exactly Saad! Right on point! That shadow was my big problem too. I mimicked what would have been in a perfect world by dodging a bit in that area, and hopefully made it more visible that there are details missing from my image.

I had to decide since even more exposure for those details in the shadow would likely overburn the very white texture of the rock in the front. The compromise was two spot meterings on the rock and one on the shadow but still it is not the perfect thing. This is why I wish for a very very very HDR film.

Cheers!

Dodged a bit the shadow of the rock at the left for a visual support of Saad's comment

again the composition is fine ,the lighting is good, apart from the place under the rock at the left, where the shadow is very deep, the textures of the rocks is very nice ,my best wishes,
Saad.
