About Again a perhaps somewhat more realistic look of an instrument with its mechanics. Any comments/suggestions would be very welcome.

And I am glad to see that there are also some that you don't like as much, Visar! This prooves again how exactly you look at these images, which is by itself way more than a quick look and some usual "wow!".

I must say that I didn't expect so much interest for these images, because electric guitars are not really of interest to most of us - or so I thought!

Thanks a lot again and cheers!

Thanks a lot Andre!

To tell you the truth I am very glad if many comments converge toward a couple of images, especially when they are of a rather abstract nature, since I can of course only see them as "equal" while they obviously aren't. For this one, it muct be that kind of "real touch", as you say. This way I also have a good guide for what to try to do and what to not do.

Best wishes,

Nick

i think this one is a little too loaded with many different forms and colours and lines. they're fine to me, all of them, but only placed too close with one another!!
i finally found one that i may say, not too fond as with the other designs--

cheers,
v.

Hi Nick,
It seems a few people have picked this one to comment on. It seemed to stand out for me too. I'm not sure why. The design seems to have a very soothing effect.

Thanks a lot for the nice and detailed comment agaon, Bonot! Indeed, I also find that the images look better on the guitars than they look by themselves. And that was also the main intention behind the series - make the guitar look nice, nit really the image itself.

Thanks a lot again, and... oh well, merry christmas! And that form a declared atheist like me who didn't celebrate that for some couple of decades! Guitars will bring me... back to church again??? Wow! ;-))

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Diego!

And not to forget, I didn't shoot that guitar - it never existed. It is only a PS montage in which I just placed the image "VH-17" on the face of the guitar. The guitar was just an image I took from a photo-CD.

Cheers,

Nick

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Svartlav! How nice to hear of yoz, a brother in sound out there! And yes, it's been a nice time, when Metal intruded the general charts and was not only some small niche of those that still swear on vaccum tubes and real instruments instead of "sweeeet looks" and "computer music" ;-)

But still the bands are out there, and still they play, and new ones come into the "hole with the snakes" ;-) that is named Heavy Metal in all its possible variations! It shows that some few will never change - thank heavens for this! ;-)

Hmmm, I guess I just *have* to slide in the DVD of Judas Priest and continue the messages under the sounds of Metal Gods!

We've taken too much for gra(aarrrgghhn)nteeed - and all the time it had grooowwn.
From techno seeds we first pla(aarrrgghhn)nted
evolved a mind of its own

(Rob marching insanely - impossible to stop! In fact, at this moment he *is* a metal god)
Marching in the streets
Dragging iron feet
Laser beaming hearts
Ripping men apart

Metal greetings, up the irons, see you down the pub!

The effect on the guitar of this abstract is wonderful.. I think its the green in contrast with the red that causes this beautiful finishes on the guitar.. in my opinion the image is enhanced when crop by the shape of the guitar... the glare from the glass makes it look laminated and shiny.
Good result.. like a Christmas theme.:)
regards..

Great shot Nick with great taste, colors and concept

All the guitars on your portfolio remind me of the good old heavy metal days when guitars was all that we used to see in TV with bands like Judas Priest, Manowar, Deep Purple......The good old days :)

Best regards
Burim
