Dear Harry,it has been used since a long time in Mosul,I will tell you an other secret of construction,when some old homes being demolished ,they found instead of these big cavities in the thick walls,and corners,Guess what ?
A big jars,and plenty of them,I think the Roman haven't invented that yet,some lucky owners they found golden coins inside some of these jars,and sometimes a silver coins,and that is a real fact,that going secretly between some old families .

Interesting, I saw a documentary on TV where they showed this building method being invented by the Romans. The BEST method now used in Mosul, great !
