My heart is broken...After finally being weened from the bottle, I took pip to a squirrel "real" wildlife rehab center in malibu last week where she can live with other squirrels and become wild again so she can eventually be released! I miss her terribly!

Dear RG, I know about the missing in action routine. I think crazy is coming to all of us! I am just about out of work and am out beating the streets for more. The whole thing seems like a dream the way things are coming apart. I just hold on to my little Rebel and try to keep some pieces of the puzzle captured in case I need help putting Humpty Dumpty back together. I do not know about PS expert, I have just scratched the PS surface from what I can tell. I am trying to do something with it every day. So glad you liked this one. I tried to bring the gray sky back to life with shadow/highlight. Most of my PS work is accidental!! Thanks for dropping by. You are the best.
Be well, Stan

Hi GG,
Excellent composition with fantastic details and colors.
You're becoming a real expert in PS as well. Fantastic my dear friend. Sorry I have been MIA, my world has been a bit crazy lately. Hope you are well.
Have a great week!!!
RG :)

Thanks so much Nicole. I live Jim's work and will mention that he is needed in your area as well. Might be hard to get him to leave this valley but I will see what I can do.

Thanks Clifton, so glad you liked this. Found this on a road I was traveling to work on. My truck pulled over and I gave a walk around. Will be nice as the trees planted around them grow.

Thanks for the detailed comment. It was gray but with some saturation it showed the colors of the sculptures pretty well. They had a powder coat on the golden hairs of metal. Grizzly cubs, Mom is just out of the picture. Played with shadows and highlights some.. Thanks, have a good weekend!!

Thanks for the lovely photo Stan. I like the whimsy you caught in the foreground of the bear playfully grabbing at his sculptured paw. The PS effect in the backgroud does a wonderful job setting the two monuments apart from what was no doubt a glum day. They almost seem to glow now.

Thanks Brigitte, nice way to start the morning with you kind words. I used shadow/highlight in PS to bring the sky out. I added some saturation to the bears because it was a real gray day when I took these. What kind of lens are you getting?? I always look forward to what you show us. I met Jim Dolan 20 years ago and have always loved his work. Wonderful genuine man. I plan to frame one of these and drop it off to him.

Excellent tones and composition. I also really love the effect you applied to the background. A real work of art by Jim Dolan and Stan Hill! You should send him a copy of this! 7/7

Have a wonderful weekend Stan!

All the best,
Brigitte

P.S. I have a new lens coming to me in the mail - so be on the lookout for something new from me soon. I have to be prepared the next time I have another bear encounter! :)
