Location City -  Sani Pass
State -
Country - Lesotho   Lesotho
About Lesotho, officially the Kingdom of Lesotho, is a landlocked country and enclave — entirely surrounded by the Republic of South Africa. Formerly Basutoland, it is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations. The name Lesotho roughly translates into "the land of the people who speak Sotho".

The earliest inhabitants of the area were Khoisan hunter-gatherers. They were largely replaced by Bantu-speaking tribes during Bantu migrations.

The present Lesotho (then called Basutoland) emerged as a single polity under paramount chief Moshoeshoe I in 1822. In January 1970 the ruling Basotho National Party (BNP) lost the first post-independence general elections, with 23 seats to the Basutoland Congress Party's 36. Prime Minister Leabua Jonathan refused to cede power to the Basotho Congress Party (BCP), declared himself Tona Kholo (Sesotho translation of prime minister) and imprisoned the BCP leadership.

This was cold, me in my shorts, shiffering like h*ll, but such a wonderful country,
beautiful and just mountains around,
great respect for these people!!

I think people in Peru or countries like that might wear stuff like this as well, high in the
mountains its so windy and always cold, even in
summer. Might go there again next month,
it makes me realize how lucky we are here....

I sure share my respect. like I do to you as well!
Their life is about surviving, they sleep on a cold floor, this was quite clever as they bake their bread in the ground and so its a kind of heater as well...
Great you did have a look, thats where my heart
lays, enjoy your day, hugs Jen
