Yes, and it is a good thing to enhance the "horizontal essence" of such a typical scene in Africa. I have the impression that much of any scene there is kept quite cleanly horizontal - or am I wrong?

Any chances to see the original image?

Still cant believe 4 million people there, it must be overcrowded as well, just like Holland, with over 16 million on 400 km long piece of land..loll
Hope you will catch some of these iguana's, is that something like a leguan? That would be an amazing shot swimming in the sea, as long as I'm not swimming there;)))
Don't get me wrong, not very patient myself, but as it comes to animals and shots I'm doing quite well..hahaa Enjoy your day dear friend, lots of hugs, Jen

Haha...the most interesting animals here are the human ones..LOL. There are monkeys in the mountainous/rainforest area but I don't know that one can necessarily see them, we read about them and hear about them, but we do have huge and very beautiful iguanas. They love to sunbathe so you can see them in more remote areas out sunning. Did you know they also swim in the ocean? I've seen them jump in and out...you know just go for a swim and out again...:)

Patience is not one of my specialties, I have to admit...one to definitely cultivate...good for you dear Jen...big hugs!!

Thank you Nick for your comment, I did put one seperate shot on here, just to give it a better focus, I hope;) There are a lot of horizontal lines, totally true, but that was the intention, maybe I should have left all seperate, but as I said it was just a try out, I just wanted to give the idea of soft tones first and getting stronger, the vertical one is not nice, I do agree..... Be well, Jen

Hahaaa....its really funny, what did I do with this?? No, you didnt miss a thing, I just played around yesterday and this is fun to try these things out, not being good at it! I do have many shots of animals, its mostly were I go for to Africa, just sit and watch..sometimes lucky, sometimes not at all...its about patience, which I learned to have;) Tell me what animals do you have on your island, there must be some strange ones too? Big hugs dear Linda:)

Grazias dear Gust@avo, it was just a try out, you are much much better in abstract, I am getting these comments, not knowing what to do with them, but it was great fun making this, happy you like it:) Thanks for watching, Jen

The resulting layout has something that makes it look like horizontal layers with some animals on it, Jen. Especially when looking from some distance. It generates the impression of some kind of "repeating horizon" then. But the nearer I get the stronger I can see that vertical separating edge, and it somehow contradicts the overall shape. Could it be better to stay at just horizontal layers here?

Cheers!

Nick
