Good capture, but .. i would have tried to underexpose more shooting into the sun .. i see you had 1/500" shutterspeed, you could have reduced that more (if possible with your camera ?) .. a bonus would be that the beautiful clouded sky with its great structures would be more visible .. your idea was great, now get a better shot !
