dear Harry, who ever told you that I am angry,or feel like insulted ? should I repeat what I have said ? I prefer you read it again,I am trying the exact behavior you do with me,you will see that all my talk is referred to alcohol and at the same time my refusal to the alcohol,I always put it in a joke,I am afraid I can not make a good joke, and with this comes my utmost respect to you, please for my sake read again, and you will see what I mean, and I am already smiling when I have read the input that want to make me angry,my best regards and wishes,
Saad.

Saad,

Please dont be angry or insulted.

Sure I understand you are not allowed to drink alcohol according the Holy Quran.

I just refer to a meeting I had in Saudi Arabia with a farmer near al Majmaah.. It was ramadan at daytime and he offered me some grapes to eat. I refused because it was ramadan but his gestures said " be my guest, eat " and I ate them as a gesture of accepting his offer. This was very important for him. He refused because a he was a muslim.

This was a great experience of 2 different cultures, 2 different religions that had different rules but respected eachother.

At home here I drink one bottle of wine per year. And I will never force a muslim brother to do things he dont wanna do.

I am just looking for a way that we as friends can live together in our identity and still respect the other in his identity.

Like the christian that offered grapes to Mohammed.

Smile and Salaam !!!

Harry

Doc, all kinds of feelings come as waves, pulling me down, pushing me up, making me do things I never done before. Once and a while it becomes a DIoD.
Thanks for the support, its my lifeline.
PS, its an old capture but with DXO was able to make it excel.

The image is really good, especially for the differentiation in the shadows, where the girl and the horse are. It is darker there but the shapes and details are very well perceivable. The timing combines very well with that too.

The highlights on the foreground add the necessary tension to the atmosphere. Exactly there we also have the loss of focus which in this case allows the spectator to concentrate on the main subject. Still I don't know if it could get even better by going hyperfocal, provided of course the exposure time wouldn't be as long for generating motion blur.

Good work, Harry!

Oh, Wolf, what a lovely scene. I see you're from the Netherlands....what a wonderful country! I was there, in the Summer, last year, and I'm coming back over there in December, this year. I hope to get some nice winter shots, this time.

Cheers

Phil
