It is as close as I could get, the lens nearly hit his head ( kidding ). Next step is to switch over to a microscope ;-)

It is as close as I could get, would need a stand off adapter to reduce the allowable distance to the insect.
PS, it is a crop of the original shot, about a 1600 pixels crop of 4200 pix horizontal.
Lens is a Nikkor micro 105 mm f/2.8 GED VR :-)
