How true Luis! Alas this pic was taken long before the recession.

There seems to be a story here that the capture has just begun to tell. Wonderful quiet tones.. Much peace and love, parehan

I wonder why such an authentic idea for a photo doesn't receive more comments! Perhaps most people wait for yet another "oh so beautiful natire image", ey? ;-)
The part of the glasses lost some focus as did the pen and the letters of the newspaper too. It would be nice to include them into the DiF but still the perspective and the objects generated a good view of the subject. The mobile kept a verys good plasticity and also the sense for the very essence of its metalic and plastic surfaces. All that combines very well with the lines of text of the papers which also seem to generate the leading lines, and thus enhance the sense for depth. The toning adds also some certain kind of "seriosity", if you like, as it is assumed to be present in economic foelds. (Which of course was another modern myth, as we see in the recent news. ;-))
A good idea, Subhanjan. Perhaps the next step for this would be to try hyperfocusing?
Cheers!
Nick

Excellent image. I like the idea of combining the elements (glasses, newspaper, and pen). For this kind of still-life photographs, you can put the camera on tripod and extend the depth-of-field even further if you like.
