I evaluated a huge white mirror lens (catadioptric) for two days (but at last I changed it with a new Braun slide projector and a new Manfrotto tripod w/head), and this is the best shot I took. The subject is my son's rabbit, Gunnar. Remarkable here are the "donut-shaped" out-of-focus points, typical of catadioptric lenses. The DOF is very tight due to the large aperture of this mirror lens (f/5.6), which is fixed. Generally, 500mm mirrors have an aperture of f/8.
