I find the overall uniform "brownish" look of the image very nice, Tony, and in some way also matching the atmosphere of a blues song. The timing wad good for capturing the dedication of the bass player as he way playing. Even the hair in motion blur combines very well with his face expression. And the composition is one of those classical timeless ones that depict musicians on the scene.
BTW, he reminds me of Antonio Banderas! Anyway, a good image of a musician as it should really be. It's hard work on the scene and the working musician has to get the most out of his/her own abilities. Same goes for the photographer too, and he did it very well here!

No lensbaby!I now see I clicked in the wrong place;it was just my usual 50-200 Pentax lense which is perfect for a concert where you can get right next to the stage... on it at times!!

I'd have thought a heavy metal band by the look of him. I don't think I've ever seen a lensbaby used for this type of photography, but it's allowed focus on the hand and fret, which works well. Regards, Gary
