About There lives another one of those people that sometimes are named "outsiders". He carves wood - that's his life. The small village where this house stands is really not the place where one would expect many visitors and thus many sells. But he has his peace of mind, I guess.

About the image now, the branches at the top right bother me a bit. And the strong light at the top half even more so since it ate up much detail of the forest. At least the house is relatively OK, but any ideas/comments would be very welcome.

Thanks a lot agaonfor the nice comment and the idea, Gustavo! I find the upper half a bit overexposed here. Again the need for extreme HDR film, ey?

Let's see what it looks like on B&W. I think that the atmosphere of the house got better, but the top half? Better or worse?

Cheers!

Turned it to B&W after Gustavo's idea

I could perhaps get a step to the right and turn the camera to the left, Dave - perhaps. But if they add depth then they have also some advantages there. I didn't think of that until now.

Many thanks!

Muy buena la exposición, realmente hay detalle en todos lados, creo que en B&W estaría muy buena.
Felicitaciones!

I like the lighting and detail of the house, Nick, and you probably couldn't do anything about the branches. They do add a bit of depth to the shot, as well.
Dave.
