About When we landed on various beaches in the Antarctic inevitably it was a penguin rookery. They showed no fear of us and would walk right up to us , so close we could touch them. But that was not allowed, in fact it was advised we keep 5 meters away for their benefit if possible. There so many of them in such tight spaces that at times that was a tough order.

I am also writing a blog on the trip for www.acdsee.com the photo software company if you are interested in checking it out. It is still in process I am adding more everyday.

Beautiful and somewhat other worldly in the strong low light and then the flat hazy mysterious background, Tim!

Hi Debjit,

I am not very good at the animal perspective really, but I have a few that you might like. They don't seem to generate much interest here on Usefilm compared to the general landscape views. So I appreciate your commenting and generating more inspiration in posting them

hi Dirk,
We booked this directly with the Polar Star web site. Google "Polar Star Antarctica" and you will get the rates and trips being offered. We got a deal of %20 off because a travel group canceled...we said SOLD! One of the best rips I have ever done. Highly recommended! A lot warmer there then here in our winter...lol...
